In this 8 week class students will learn how to approach drawing any subject by starting with simple shapes and working in layers. Through our weekly projects we will explore the elements of drawing including color, shape, texture, value, line and form.

Learn to Design Characters II

Prerequisite - Learn to Draw Characters I

This is an 8 week class for students who have already completed Learn to Design Characters I. 

We will be building on the principles learned in the first semester,
focusing on telling a story through our character's expressions, poses
and image composition. We will address perspective and creating
environments for our characters.

We will continue to talk about processes used by illustrators and
animators and apply the elements of drawing (including
color, shape,texture value, line and form).

Learn to Draw Comics

Prerequisite - Learn to Draw Characters I & II

This is an 8 week class for students who have already completed Learn to Design Characters I and II.

In this class we apply everything that we have learned in our character design classes - telling a story through pictures - focusing on expressive characters, creative environments and well designed compositions.

We will continue to talk about processes used by illustrators and
animators as we create our comic layouts.
